The CX203SYB is a combo kit with two 18 V sub-compact solutions for drilling, driving and fastening in tight spaces. The kit includes an ultra-compact brushless driver-drill and impact driver. The driver drill features two speed settings, a metal jampot design for durability and delivers 350 in-lb of peak torque. The variable-speed brushless impact driver has two speed settings and delivers 1240 in-lb of max torque. It features assist mode (A-mode), which helps eliminate screw cam-out and cross threading by driving at low speed until tightening begins. It's part of Makita's expanding 18 V LXT system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18 V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18 V LXT lithium-ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
