This drywall features a gypsum core board that is surfaced with paper on front/back and long edges. With its natural properties, it is durable yet easy to repair. In addition, gypsum wallboards sound control capabilities further demonstrate its desirability in building systems.
Drywall panels are factory-fabricated, composed of a fire-resistant gypsum core encased in heavy natural-finish face paper and strong liner paper on the back. The face paper is folded around the long edges to reinforce and protect the core. The ends are square-cut and finished smooth. Long edges of panels are tapered allowing joints to be reinforced and concealed with a USG joint treatment system.
